I installed the controller in Windows 98SE. The driver from Maxtor is loaded. When the computer boot up, ATA100 controller identified the two harddrives connected to this controller and even flash a message that IDE DMA Enabled. However, when I look at the harddrive in the system>device manager tab, no DMA button is shown.
One of the 3 harddrive is connected to the motherboard's IDE controller. This one has a DMA button.
How can I tell Windows 98 to use DMA in the two other harddrives that are connected to the ATA100 controller?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
