hi everyone

TMPGenc splits out one big 2 gig .mpg svcd file. I didnt see any settings to limit a file size. I have checked with tmpgenc tools, but couldnt figure out how to chop off to right file size for my 80 min cdr.

are there any good way to set right size before I hit start in tmpgenc? or there is good program to chop the mpeg?

thanks again

anyone know this?

1. need to know if TMPGenc can pre-set the file size for later svcd burn...or
2. change 2 gig .mpg file into manageble size, 700 meg for svcd burn.

thanks again

finally did it! it took some hr of researching and try and errors. I end up using TMPGenc's merge and cut tools. it took some time to seek the 2nd and 3rd mpg. hopefully TMPGenc can improve this.
also no out of sync problems with this CBR, 29 fps svcd setting.

Im going to try 2-pass VBR to see if theres any significant difference in quality and size. currently this .mpeg CBR is about 2 gig total for 1:47 min movie.

anyone think its worth it for extra hr of encoding for vbr 2? the CBR that I made was pretty good I think.

also I think file size doesn't really matter since most of them will end up needing 3 cdrs anyway.
