How to see PC on network that is ICS client Win 7

So here's my setup:
- Router with cable modem
- Host PC laptop connecting to modem & ICS Host enabled
- Client PC SERVER connected via lan
- 3rd laptop, connected to router wifi

Now the issue--how can i make it so that my 3rd Laptop can see the PC SERVER???


before u ask, i tried 2 wireless bridges, and their performance was too flakey--vs this setup which besides the above, has been rock solid.

Using ICS joins two separate networks. In your case, one network that includes the modem and laptop 3, and one network that includes the server, with the ICS machine able to see both. You cannot normally access computers on both sides of the "router" computer unless that router knows how to bridge or forward those connections. A consumer/home operating system running ICS doesn't know how to do that.

Your best options are to either use a wireless bridge (a properly configured bridge will not be 'flakey' in any place that your laptop is stable), move the "server" to a place where it can get a wired connection to the modem/router, or put a wireless adapter in the "server" and don't use ICS.

i've tried 2 USB dongles (Belkin & netgear), and then 2 wireless bridges (Belkin, Linksys), and all of them just drop the connection after a set period of time. I can't figure it out, they are hte simplest devices in the world to setup, but there's lots of complaints on all of them about that very same complaint.

so i'm done spending money & time on bridges & adapters that suck, when i have a laptop i'm not using that is an intel wifi chip that is the most rock solid thing in my home. hence...the dilemma.
