how to ruin a key on a keyboard

how can i render a key on a keyboard un-usable without destroying the keyboard? im trying to play a little trick on my brother on an old keyboard :beer:

If it's a membrane keyboard, open it up and wedge a piece of paper under the contact or something.

In all seriousness, it would probably ruin the capacitor that controls they key's response. It would probably ruin a lot of nearby keys too....

Pull the key off and wedge something in there so it can't be depressed once you put the key back in place. A bit of pencil eraser, perhaps?
