how to rotate/flip a video clip?

I used a digital camera to take some video clips the other day. the problem was, i was taking the video with the camera up-right on a vertical/portrait position rather than the landscape position that the camera is. now when i watch the video that i recorded on quicktime player, i have to watching it with my head sideways on a 90degree angle!! it is driving me insane and ive tried to play it on other players to see if there was a function inwhich i could flip or rotate it. but nonetheless- nothing! i really would like to know how to flip my videos using some kind of software? thanks.

You could flip the monitor 90 degrees.

Most video cards allow you to rotate the screen, check yours out.

If you really can't bring yourself to scripting your edit, there is probably a plug-in for your needs for VirtualDub

lol, no my monitor cannot flip 90degrees. wish it could... but, i'll give AVI synth a try. thanks for the responses.
