Yes, thank you. I received it three days ago. Took a while to get here. I have been too busy to install it. Maybe this evening. Will get back to you with the results.

Chuck340, I haven't installed the Arctic Circle cooler yet. I was waiting to receive the plastic retainer before I went further with it. My present Aavid cooler has a retainer plate with a notch, so it has never been without retaining clips. But in any case, I would have used the string method before I relied on friction.

By the way, I don't need the Arctic circle for 550E @733 MHz. It stays around 45 C at full bore. Can't overclock higher than 770 (140 FSB) anyway, I think because of memory limitation. It won't POST. Higher VCore is no help. So, unless and until I lay my hands on some 2-2-2 PC-133 to go higher, I think the Arctic Circle is only for long CPU life and good looks. I can get a faster CPU for not much more than the memory, so that upgrade may never happen.

he he man, it always comes down to one thing
"speed cost money son, how fast do you want to go?"
hey post back when you try it, would like to see if it pulls any more heat off your chip or not.
