How to repel cats?

Makes me angry enought to want to poison it and kill it, but the wife is my conscience right now, so need a way to keep it from coming around.

EDIT: Sigh... I wouldn't actually kill the cat(s). Just want them GONE!

Ideas?

Take it in. Cats are sweet. Feed it, love it, fix it, get it its shots. Win-win.

Trap it and take it to the pound in a nearby city so no one will find it. It is easier to simply kill it after you trap it but that is up to you.

Don't dump it and make it someone else's problem. Stitch up the bleeding heart and take care of the problem like a man. Take the damn thing to a pound far enough away to make sure it does not come back. Either someone will adopt it or it will get euthanized. Either way is a win for you and you have not created a problem for someone else.

usually when an animal marks its territory like that cat did around your house, it will keep coming back.

You can buy stuff at most pet stores that will keep cats from comming to an area. Look into Boundry or Repel, I think those are the two good ones. Just sprinkle this stuff around your door and the problem will be solved.

Is it a stray or does it belong to a neighbor?

I'd trap it and take it to the Humane Society if they are a No-Kill shelter. Otherwise to just repel it I'm told you can take some rags soaked in amonia and just leave them in the areas you don't want them to go and the odor with keep them (and probably other animals, people, etc) away.

why not take it in, make it your family pet? that way you can postone having babies for another 5 years.

aidanjm is right. A .22 with subsonic rounds won't make enough noise to even get anyone's attention, and it'll be faster and more humane. Aim right behind the ear. :thumbsup:
