How to repair .avi files?

i think it got corrupted during download. i have gotton a freeware program that repairs avi files, however.. it did not repair the audio segment. Is there any other program that repairs both audio and video for an avi file?

is it a divx file ? --> try divfix

hmm.. i'm not too sure if its divx or not... its a lecture recording.. so i don't think it is.. but i will try it anyhow thanx.

Look at www.videohelp.com for an answer. There are many experts on their forums who might be able to offer good advice.

you can use an app called gspot to tell what kind of codec was used...

well, thanx for your input.. apparently i didn't have the div3 audio codec installed... i thought that would be included in the divx codec which i already have installed, apparently not.

now it works , thanx all =)
