Brought my laptop into school today, and hooked it up to the network, thinking i was on the admin side, which has no internet or computer restrictions, however i was an idoit and plugged it into the blue port instead of the red one, and then i logged on. Our system admin has a thing in the login script to disable the internet options box from internet explorer, or from the control panel, it just doesnt show up in the control panel, and when i choose it in IE, i get a message "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." I assume this is something in the registry, and i know that this dialogue box is just a shell for the registry, however i dont know where either are in the registry. Where can i find these? If necessary, ill reconnect to the network and paste in the login script.
