Is it possible to remove the thermal pad after using the CPU for a few days? If so, how is this done? Using what solvent?

Thanks

Just peel it off then scrape with a plastic credit card or something that will not scratch it. Clean it with some rubbing alcohol, be sure and clean the heatsink also.

Thanks

<< goof off >>

Are you calling him a goof off or is that a product?

Isopropyl alcohol should do the trick.

Goof Off? is the name of a product. I have found that Iso Alcohol does not remove thermal pad residue very well.
