Hi, I'd like to know how to remove RealPlayer 7 from the system tray permenantly. Each time I run the program, the StartCenter will stay on the system tray. I use MSCONFIG to remove it, but the next time I run RP7 it'll be there again.
I tried to find some option in the properties menu of RP7, but there was nothing that let me disable the automatic StartCenter crap. Its driving me nuts! Help!
Thanks!

Right-click on the RP logo in the tray and select "Preferences". Under the General tab, in the Start Center field, there is a button for Settings. Click it, and then uncheck the box for "Enable Start Center".

Wow, that's a fast and to the point answer. I found the damn thing!
Guess I didn't look hard enough.
Thanks! :)

I hate software that does that. I shouldn't have to look for 10 minutes to find a way to get that crap out of my system tray. I want to be the one that decides whether I want it there or not, not some damn software company!

I haven't looked real hard yet, but how do you get rid of that MSN icon after updating to IE5.5? It comes up after each reboot.

I didn't see it in MSCONFIG.

In Win 98SE/IE 5.5 Non-Beta, MSN messenger can be deleted as follows:

start > run > msconfig > enter > startup > uncheck its box

Worked for me. :)
