How to remove MSN Messenger From XP

How would one go about removing the annoying little MSN Messenger?

go to

C:\WINNT\INF\ <-- You'll probably need to type this in yourself

then open up the file Sysoc.inf

Delete all the HIDE, in the document.. save it

then go to add/remove in your control panel, and system components and it should show up

1. press start
2. go to run
3. type "RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove" without quotes

Make sure you close Outlook, Outlook Express and the Messenger client.

Run this command in the CMD window (line may wrap, just copy/paste it):

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
