Hey all I was wondering just what was the safest way to remove the corsair ramsinks. They seemed to be glued ?? on somehow.

Thanks a bunch

Just wondering, but what's your reason for removing them?

you void the warranty on most memories if you take off their heatspreaders/heatsinks
i pulled mine off but i don't recommend this because you can damage traces both internal and external of the pcb

you can try putting the memory in a ziplock bag in the freezer (after removing the springs/clamps) then taking them out and pulling the heatsinks off
but this can also be risky :)

good luck

Thanks for the help. Well I heard the ramsinks that Corsair puts on doesn't really help much at
all. I forgot what site but I even saw that not having the corsair ramsinks even improved its
overclocking performance.

try heating the ram with hair blow dryer. after it get relatively hot, start pulling the ramsinks off.
