Hi, I installed WinXP as an upgrade to my Win2000. Is there any way to revert the process? I found out some programs are running considerably slower in XP than in 2000. I think some drivers of my laptop is still not 100% compatible with xp yet. I would like to reinstall my win2000 without loosing all the information I had already in my HD until they come out with new drivers. Thanks

Programs such as photoshop, illustrators, Autocad and 3d Studio Viz are slower in XP then in 2000.

Thanks

Stanley

unfortunately, i don't think there is. but you shoudl try tweaking XP to run faster. turn off all the useless stuff like the anti-aliasing and tweak it more for performance. overall, once you set everything to classic and turn off all the 'extras,' XP isn't that much slower. you can also do a rollback to your old W2k drivers. It might say they are not digitally signed, but it will still work, flawlessly i might add. good luck

don't know for sure with your upgrade path but with the win98 to XP upgrade, you can uninstall XP from the add/remove programs section in device manager! IMO, worth checking out!
