How to refuse a job offer

Just got an e-mail with a job offer, how to word my reply to keep the relationship open kinda thing? just pretent like I might get fire from the current job next month (which I don't think will happen)

I think not going would pretty much do it.

But if you want to keep stringing them along just in case then why not tell them that? Just say,"Look, I've got other things going on right now. It's possible I could get fired in a couple weeks or so, how bout I check back then?"
 

WTF? Come back when you can phrase a coherent question that includes your current job situation.

I would like to withdraw my candidacy for _____position.

then go from there. talk about how it was a pleasure meeting the people you met and so on and so forth.

if you word it well, you could always take up their offer later. Or just explain your situation, you need to give x weeks notice before quiting.
