how to redirect one domain name to another without waiting?

hey! i have a url question. i have a website with a domain name and i bought another domain name (better one) that i want people to type in instead of my first one. how do i do it to redirect the people to my website when they type in the second url? what do i have to buy? i already have a webspace at a paid service provider (icom.com), so what do i do now? thx for the help. -dm

Until you get them switched (which you really should do eventually), you could put a very simple index.htm file in your new domain's web space that re-directs the browser to your old web space.

[EDIT]Sorry, I misunderstood you...[/EDIT]

but i only have one web space - on the old url. i don't want to pay to get a webspace just so i can put a simple index.html file on it, i thought there must be other way.

Set the name servers of the one you dont want to the name servers of the one you do want. If they are hosted on the same provider, the provider should have options for having multiple domains point to the same account. (I'm not sure that this is the best example, but I assume you want to do the same thing as www.georgewbushsucks.com which points to the same place as www.georgewbush.com)
