How to recycle toner?

My office has a few empty toner cartridges lying around that we want to get rid of... how can we recycle them? I know some companies will take the old ones if you buy new from them, but aside from that...?

what brand, usually when you buy new one, you get a ups return label.. put them all in a box and stick the label on
