How to recover passwords on a cellphone?

I have a couple of older phones and have lost the password to one of them. I have no freaking clue what it is and it's 10,000 options, so too many to guess. If it's enabled on a new network, will it reset or is there any other way to reset it? Thanks!

What, so it really cannot be recovered? It's a samsung T509. I cannot believe I'd have to try all 9999 combinations

Oh hell, it seems I never ever even used its password, which is the factory default of 00000000 and which also means it has 100 million possible combinations, so I would never have been able to guess it

Did you try the last four digits of your phone number. It is usually the default.

Not for this phone--it was 00000000
