How to record streaming Audio & Video (Quicktime Format)?

Streaming media that doesn't have a download or save to disk option is done so for a reason. In some situations it is illegal to record streamed media. Utities/programs that do so are really capturing the audio or video. Please adhere to the legal guidelines of usage.
