ok, i got a supermicro 760a case. this sucker is really loud. I thought about changing the ps fan and i tested it out by itself and it wasnt that loud at all. in fact it was pretty damn quiet. so one by one i hooked up my components and low and behold it was my damn dvd rom and harddrive making all the noise. my dvd drive is a pioneer 16x. i know of a product that reduces harddrive noise by about 90%, but i know of no such product that will reduce the noise of my dvdrom. any suggestions?

Take out the disk from the DVD-rom so it won't be spinning?
you can try lining the case with DynaLiner..not Dynamat!...well you oculd do both Dynaliner as the first layer for sound...and Dynamat for vibrations. But im sure most of the sound is escaping through the front of the drive, maybe a new DVD-drive?
