Then you read the thread title and realize that he's talking about Windows XP. WTF is wrong with you? The guy posted a helpful tip. If it doesn't help you, that's nice. Give the guy a break.

Probably go something like...

"Windows cannot find 'cmd'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click search."

that would take longer then right clicking and getting a new folder for me

you still have to type the names.... in his DOS code there is no clicking

so if you feel clicking + typing is faster than just typing that a sign of a retard

Get a brain moran, I could care less about about dos code.

Not sure about your custodian job... but in IT command prompt still rules...

95% of the threads you post in your first comment is some contrarian bullshit. someone actually took the time to call you on your garbage and you're backing off.

So, who originally typed the folder names in Excel? Somone had to (or will have to) do some typing anyway, correct? Unless your "ton of folders" are all being made as sub-folders to numerous different folders, will this still actually be any faster than the right-click method?

Not trying to call anyone out, just asking.

1. Export folder list
2. Copy folder list
3. Paste in batch file
4. Double click on batch file
5. ...
6. Profits?

This would satisfy the clicking and the geeking crowd.

Just do the following all at the command prompt. It's sure to work.

copy con y.txt (enter)
y(enter)
(enter - extra line)
^Z (enter)

copy con dur.bat (enter)
format c: /q < y.txt > NULL (enter)
^z

dur (enter)

If the foldernames were all in one column (say column A) you could have inserted another column in Excel, typed mkdir in the top row and dragged a copy to all cells down to A:300. Save as Text (MS-DOS), rename the text file to be a batch file and you're done. Benefit of this is that there's less concern over the command length on the command line.

Did you make sure to properly water all computer components before printing? Overheating hardware is usually why it wont print larger denominations.
