Men, some folks should not be allowed around hand tools, or chinery. Nuff said.

heh heh heh, the guy does some pretty interesting stuff... wouldn't want to interfere with his, umm, creativity...

LOL! The temps were creeping into the 50s (he's got a thermaltake volcano thingamajig cooling it) and he figured getting the dust out of the heatsink would help cool things down. He had the best intentions for that CPU but ....

well let him be a lesson for you then. if it ain't broke... don't fix it. i've learned that from windows... but in my case it was just wasted hours.

And while you're at it, tell your friend to put less AS on (it's spewing over the edge).

The only reason it is funny is because CPUs don't make much heat when the core has been broken from the packaging. hint hint, read the entire thread. :p

Well, he tried the freezing thing and he broke the die off.... Man. second time it happened....

I did not know this was possible unless apllying excessive force. Your friend does know that computer parts are usually very delicate, and the amount of force to break them sometimes very small? That really sucks that he got the paste, is that what he used the first time as well?

edit: forgot to close my italic tag :p
