How to properly copy everything (OS/APPS) from IDE to a SCSI Drive replacing IDE

I'm going to upgrade to a scsi drive soon for my OS/APPS using my onboard SCSI controller.

Instead of re-installing XP and all my apps. I want to just Copy the IDE drive (the partition that I want on it) and move it to the SCSI, then removing the IDE Drive and Booting off the new SCSI drive.

I hear some people using NORTON GHOST. Is that necessary or can I just copy and paste?

Thanks

That's some kind of joke right?

No you can't just copy/paste. Unless all you want is a collection of files on a drive that won't boot.

Why remove the IDE drive? Ghost straight from it to the SCSI drive then change your boot sequence to boot from SCSI, leave the IDE drive in for backups or your mp3 collection or whatever.....
