Hi

guys I have a fx5200 which is acting very odd, after a bit of gaming or 3dmark it will start with the artifacts and bad.
Now I assumed it was overheating and I tried to underclock (funny thing about this card is that it came from factory OCed, core at 270 when most fx5200s have the core at 250), now it works fine and I really want to burn the new speeds into the bios, is there a way ?

please let me know

Thank you
Dan

Use Coolbits to adjust your desired clockspeed and choose the "apply settings at startup" option.
Just do a google search for Coolbits. Download it and double click to install. Now on your Nvidia display settings you will have clock speed adjustment sliders. Hope that helps.

Find if there is a BIOS writing program for GF FX's (I know you can flash the BIOS of ATi cards, not sure aboutt GF FX 5200's), then find someone with a "normal" 5200 and get them to copy their BIOS, then flash your card with it.

Or just use a reg hack and have it set on your computer, although it can then be changed so this is a less permenant solution (but I'm guessing this is your current solution, judging from the post)

problem is I need sub standard speed for the ram, the current settings are 270/333 (core/ram) I need to get it to 250/300 to get it to run properly, really nice card :)

Thanks
Dan
