How to prevent unclosable pop-ups in IE7?

I have both google and IE7 popup blockers on.

i goto website. a popup says my Adobe Flash is out of date, and i should upgrade. (my Adobe Flash is the latest version.) this is obviously to install spyware/malware onto my system.

Options are Ok or Cancel. I press the Red X in the upper right hand corner of the popup box. then another popup immediately comes saying i need latest Flash to view website. Only option is the OK button. I press the Red X.

then another popup says my Flash is out of date, and i should upgrade.
Rinse and repeat. it's a never ending loop that i cant get out of.

the only way out of it was task manager, and End Task my IE window.

So how do i stop these kinds of popups from occuring in the first place in IE7? (besides switch to another browser and/or dont goto the website :disgust: )

Thx

It's going to be simply easier to use something like firefox and a few decent add ons then it will be for the fix for a old version of IE.

Agreed. FF + add-ons should work great.

If google can't stop them, you're screwed. As far as I know, that's one of the most effective popup blockers for IE.
