Recently, after many system errors, my computer appear some Bad Clusters (about 2MB), I tried reformat my harddisk, and the Bad Clusters was fixed. However, when my computer have some system errors again, the Bad Clusters also appear. So, does any program or method can prevent and fix the bad clusters? (Except reformat the harddisk) Thanks in advance!

(P.S. my OS is windows 2000)

Well besides a regular format the only other option is a Low Level Format, go to your hard drive mfg. website to find utility to do one.

If bad sectors are showing up in any quantity, it's time to start thinking about another drive. As cheap as they are, I would get a replacement drive and clone the system to make transition easier.
