How to post hot links?

How do you post hotlinks here. Every other forum I am on has a little web button, how do you do it here?

Good grief. Just wanted to post a proposed build without having a messy ass post with full length links a mile long.

You mean custom text for a link?

vB decided to use the innovative approach of making the process very counterintuitive.

1) Type the text you want to show as the link.
2) Highlight the text.
3) Click the Insert Link button.
4) Enter the hyperlink.

It's intuitive. I use BBCode anyway.

I enabled the toolbar buttons in my profile because Google Chrome breaks the keyboard shortcuts for Bold/Italics/Underline. I used to select text in Firefox and press Ctrl+U, then change them to "URL" and add ="..." in the first tag.

I think Fusetalk's way was better.
1) Click Hyperlink button.
2) It asks you for what it needs - text for the link, then the address.

vB's way just feels backwards.

You can kind of do that here.

Click link button>paste address>OK>type what you want it to show.

At least thats how it works for me.

No. vB is better. It's more like an HTML URL and you can wrap a single URL around images with text.

Text to display...

Worked perfectly just now. I tapped the URL button on my iPhone, then entered a URL and tapped "OK." It created the tags and automatically duplicated the URL into the text between the tags. It highlighted the display text so I could type whatever I want to replace it.

MUCH more intuitive!
