How to pay an international seller

I won an eBay auction for 4 rare, import CDs. I need to send the seller, who is in the Netherlands, $50. I asked them if they could take an international money order, but they told me they won't because it costs them $9 to cash them. They suggested sending currency. However, I don't want to do that.

How would you pay somebody in Europe if they don't take MOs? I'm thinking of sending them a MO for $59 so they can't complain about the cashing fee. Is there some electronic service I can use? This rather sucks if I have to send cash.

Just a guess but not everyone uses paypal

I would send a MO for $59 then...they cannot complain. It's safer than cash. Just put a little note "i added an extra $9 to cover your fees."

That's true, I forgot: PayPal does have service in the Netherlands now. I'll have to ask the seller if they can use it. If not, I'm back to the $59 money order.

Once I used a service called BidPay to pay an EBay seller from Hong Kong. They charged me a $5 fee.

I'm surprised at ebay sellers that don't take paypal.

It's the fastest, cheapest way to send money. I'm leaning towards not bidding on auctions where paypal isn't a payment option, but I've found most sellers do accept paypal payments even if they don't list it in their auction.

I just had to email them about it.

Dude, just western union and send them a draft. That doesn't cost them anything to cash and I know this for a fact.
