Could you recommend a good price/performance ratio cooler for the job? Keep in mind that the CPU will be under FULL load quite a lot because of my 3D renders. Thanks!
Megahalem...I have 2 on 2 I7's, one at 3.6 and one at 4.2. Both under 70c.

I have that same cooler in my machine and I am running at 4ghz with idle temps at 35 degrees, will have to get back with you on load temps. Just make sure you have a case big enough for it. I have an Antec 1200 and it is just deep enough for it.

I am sure I could probably go higher but I just haven't pushed it. I am pretty happy at 4ghz, not one crash.

The current state in the CPU world is kind of boring. I am waiting for the next round. Hope it's interesting. Of course, AMD had to makes things complicated with the 2 integer/ 1 FPU design. Now we are going to have to decide how to compare CPU's. But from the little I read it was a good move since it seems like they got a lot more performance with only a modest increase in die size.

I've just finished a new guide for Sandy Bridge :)

But you guys can't have the link, because they'll probably say I'm spamming again :p

(PM'ed the link to the thread starter for addition to the OP)
