Is this possible. I don't really care if I fry anything. I just want faster speeds.

yeah you can. look at the mobo. there should be jumpers for multipliers. change to the highest multiplier.

I looked at the mobo. Couldn't see no multiplyers. But we'll try again:)

I tried something but it didnt' seem to show up any faster on WCPUID.
But it seems faster than before.

you can always try a new chip like an amd k6 or go for a powerleap adapter if need be. Do you know what voltages and multipliers are available on you mb? The K6 remaps the 2x to a 6x ect.

I think the Packard Bell Comps use a proprietary PB mobo. Since PB's were built to be as cheap as possible, I doubt PB opted for any overclocking features.

I would sell it for some money.

Unless you were one of the lucky one, it's most likely that you have a multiplier lock cpu. Look if you can find anything about FSB settings for your motherboard.
