How to move usb 3 from back to front of case.

Okay I have my first pc build. It is moving along but I have come to a snag.. my mobo does not have a usb3 20 pin jack for the front 2 usb3 ports. It does have 2 usb3 ports in the back of the case on the board.


this is my board and number 7 is a pair of usb3 ports

I would like to connect the two in the back to this cable if possible

page 20 shows the 20 pin usbs header cable. that is in my case.

Take the US version of the cable you linked and add a 20-pin male to male coupler and 2 A Male to A Male cables. Ugly, but it'll get the job done.

yeah that is what I came up with. I will look at the case some more maybe I can just run a usb 3.0 male to female extension like this. Guess i am looking forward to the next build and I have not finished this one!

That should work, but why not just bring both to the front panel of the case? Saves having an extra dongle.
