How to measure DDR ram?

I had bought a 256mb ddr dimm that was apparently 266mhz but I decided to rather get a 512MB 333mhz one and sold the old one. I got the dimm but there is no sticker or anything that says it is supposed to be the ddr333 type. How do I see whether this is true as I run SiSoft Sandra and I can't see it anywhere in there telling me what I want to know. I even set the memory to 333 in the bios (Gigabyte 7VAX mb). Thanx in advance.....

What did you get? Any model number or anything? If you set the bios to run the memory at 333Mhz then it should be running at that speed. WCPUID shows what
speed the memory is running. Should have a number on the memory chip itself you can look up. Will have to remove the heatspreader if there is one.

There will be an arrow in the upper right you click. Then it shows memory amount and speed. Should show up as 166Mhz.

In the bios of my motherboards (Intel D845BG and Asus P4PE) it says what type they are or atleast what they are running at.
