How to maximize the effects of creatine

I have a few questions about creatine...
first: how long must you use it to notice a sizable difference in strength?
second: What can you do to maximize the short term effects?

You train with the US Swim team, don't they have trainers or strength coaches you can ask? In another thread you said you won't be lifting weights so I really don't know what you expect from it.

1. Strength gains do not come in sizes.
2. Read "The Secret" and start thinking positive thoughts.

You don't mention what distances you swim. As Red Dawn mentioned, you made a weak brag attempt about being on some sort of swim team in the winter goals thread. My advice is that you do whatever your coach tells you to do.

wasn't a brag attempt, just putting my post in context. The strength isn't for lifting weights it's for sprinting. (that's the distance I do mainly) I will ask my coach though.
