I've finally stepped into the current realm of computing and have bought my first SSD drive, Samsung 850 EVO 500gb drive. All my motherboard SATA slots were filled with HDDs and DVD so I purchased a PCIe SATA III card that allowed me to attach the SSD right to the card. Got everything installed and the SSD was found by windows and I used the data migration software that came with the SSD to make a clone of my "C" drive. The SSD drive was assigned drive letter "G". So my question is how do I make the SSD the boot drive now? I've tried going into my bios to make it the first boot device but its not showing up...my options are hard disk, CD, removable bootable device..etc. What am I doing wrong?
Here are my system specs (bit of an older system but it still kicks butt)
Foxconn Destroyer motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 940 Processor
8gb Ram
3 Sata HDDs
Sata DVD
SSD on PCIe SATA III card
2 X EVGa Geforce GTX 960 in SLI
Win 7 64
I'm sure I'm forgetting some things so ask if you need more info.
Thanks for any help!
