how to make openvpn rescan /etc/openvpn for new conf files?

running openvpn on centos. how can i get openvpn to look for new conf files without rebooting the server?

the closest thing i found is to run

/etc/init.d/openvpn restart

which gives me an

Options error: In [CMD-LINE]:1: Error opening configuration file: restart

 

[Nothinman]

Sounds like the init script for openvpn isn't standard. Have you run it by itself to see what options it actually likes?
