I have a Blizzrad 360 case.

I has a blowhole on top, and 2 fans blowing onto the video card and processor.

It's loud as hell.

What can I do to make it quieter?

thx.

i'd suggest building some sort of baybus fan voltage selector thingy (plans available from www.virtualhideout.net)

you can select either 7v or 12v for your fans, and i know with my setup, it makes a HUGE difference in fan noise. that way, unless you're gaming or something, you can run the fans at a lower voltage and therefore a lower noise level

Well, there are several things that you could do.

1. Buy quieter fans and install them instead. This could get expensive (or not) depending on the costs of the fans.

2. Buy a Rheostat Baybus and adjust your voltages as necessary. This gives you a range of voltages, instead of either 7V or 12V. A lower voltage means that your fans run slower and quieter, at the cost of CFM. This costs $35 at CaseETC. Link to follow...

3. Go to RadioShack and buy yourself a few rheostats, etc. and build the thing yourself. This costs less than $35. Heck, all I did was buy two rheostats. Forget the soldering, I just wrapped the wiring around the terminals. Forget the heatshrink tubing, electrical tape works fine. This costs about $10.

4. Do the 7V trick.

Case and CPU Fans are the first things to look when you want to quiet down you PC.

I've been using Baybus (7v/off/12v) for months and it has helped me reduce noise so much that I never regret I paid $40 for them (I have two puters and I installed both with these baybus).

Also consider swapping all fans with Panaflo L1A (really quiet even 120mm).

If you don't know where to get baybus, go HERE, Cliff is the guy you want to call for. He makes the best baybus which you can ask for a custom one to fit your need such as cord length and # of plugs.

Or you can order a pre-built one from Plycon.com or Caseetc.com

Good Luck,
