It's annoying for me when windows decides to suddenly start including photo related fields in the field list, or mp3 related stuff, like image dimensions, bit rate, etc.
I have my own custom fields I want to display (i have a 3rd party shell extension I use as a UI to source control system (TortoiseSVN)), and I want every single instance of windows explorer to use the same field list no matter what folder I'm browsing.
It would also be useful to be define and lock the field list for a whole directory and all it's sub-folders (recursively). That would actually be better than a global config.
