How to make face less red (boozing related)

I'm a pale kinda white guy, and I booze a good bit. Over the years my face has gotten a bit red, particularly in the cheek areas. This is even when I'm not drinking - when I am drinking it gets VERY red.

I read somewhere that this is new blood vessels forming in my face to help dissipate the heat that comes from the alcohol or something like that. Sound right? Anything I can take/do to stop it from happening, besides boozing less?

Many thanks!

That was just one of the many great stereotypes my dad taught me as a kid.
He would say "See that? See those red veiny cheeks? He's an alcoholic."
lol

just gonna throw this crazy suggestion out there...

maybe booze less?
Pffft, what a stupid suggestion.

It bursts blood vessels or something, doesn't it? I don't drink enough to be concerned about it, but I have noticed red noses on some of my alcoholic family members. Not sure you can do anything about it though, aside from the suggestion above.

Zinc is good for clearing skin conditions. Sores, acne, whatnot heal quick.

If it's truly blood vessels then hello, laser I guess

I'm going to throw this out there:

booze more and you won't give a damn about much. Not even your pale white guy dance moves. Highly recommended.

Note: may cause death.

Alcohol is causing the blood vessels to dilate. This is why idiots think they are warm enough for outdoor winter weather when they really aren't. Is also causes the heated blood to move out of the core and to the extremities. But, the blushing that is common to some of us is another condition. BTW, I was a bit peeved when I learned 2-5% of blond hair blue eyes people suffer from the blush response to alcohol, but the predominant group are people in the Southeastern part of China.

And no, I am not a Yellow Nazi.

Don't worry about those red marks on your face. Start worrying about needing a new liver down the road.

Alcohol has a vasodilatory effect. Try using a CNS stimulant the next time you drink (I myself prefer dextroamphetamine or cathinone, ymmv); the vasoconstrictive effects will counteract this. You'll also have a lot more fun. :p

I would recommend against combining cocaine and ethanol, however: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cocaethylene

Make yourself a mask with CPU coolers attached. Maybe if you help your body dissipate the heat, it won't get so red.
