I do not like OGR, i would much rather run RC5, besides im faster at it... SO how do i make the client not crunch ogr and only get work for RC5? Also, my system benchmarks @ 2.87 Mkeys/sec, but the fastest i have ever seen an rc5 block go is 1.5 mkeys/sec...

ANy help would be appreaciated

System specs are below.

Add the following to your ini file, delete any OGR buffers, than restart the client:

[misc]
project-priority=RC5,OGR=0,DES=0,CSC=0

There is something stealing CPU cycles.

Are you running an OpenGL screensavers or using a CPU cooler? both of which are notorious hogs of CPU time.

If you aren't, try using Another Task Manager to check and see what processes are hogging the CPU.

kernel32.dll is hogging about 50% of power, dnetc 15% and ATm(the monitoring program) 36%

ATM has a built in soft-cooling feature that you should turn off. Also, let it run at 5 sec intervals for 10 minutes or so.

I don't know why kernal32 might be hogging all the time.

Edit: I just figured out what the problem is. You like [H]ard OCP:p

I meant to turn the soft cooling off.

I'm not at home to check for sure, but if ATM doesn't show up when you do ctrl-alt-delete, then it is not running.

If you really want to get better times, you should try reinstalling windoze. probably something went haywire, which only a reinstall will fix.
