Is it possible to make a powerpoint 2000 slideshow that is playable on computers that don't have powerpoint installed? I'm looking for a way to make either an executable or a media file to share a presentation (animation and sound) with family. I've heard that powerpoint 2002 has a producer feature that creates a WMF, but I'm trying to solve this with my current version before considering an upgrade.

Thanks.

Yes - PowerPoint presentations can be exported so they include a run-time program element. That can be burned onto a CDR and played in most any Windows PC. Then if you use U-Lead's PictureShow, you can burn it in VCD format so it can be played on a home DVD player w/o computer.
