How to make a partition for XP and system files?

So since I've had to reformat a few times lately due to driver issues (don't ask, I basically thought I had found the issue, but I had fingered the wrong driver as the culprit)...I've decided to just throw XP on it's own partition...will windows setup guide me through this? Also, should the Program Files directory go on this partition, or just the windows directory?

The initial XP setup should give you options to partition...I install programs to a different partition, but to each his own.
