How to make a computer "act" like a NAS

I'm trying to make one of my side computers go into standby mode, and then when I try to access it via network share, it'll "wake" and act normal. I enabled WoL in BIOS, but what else do I do? (currently its not working as intended) (using XP Pro)
 
you have to send magic packets to wake a machine from WOL... well there is wake upon network activity but i dont htink its reliable...
