How to load XP Pro on a computer?

A coworker's computer will not load XP on P5ld2 with a Pent. D 2.8 w/ 2 sticks of crucial ballistic 512mb ram.

Right after going through the usual setup, it will say 'Starting Windows' on the main setup screen (Blue DOS, gray line on the bottom), then it will BSOD and restart.

Right now it won't boot, but BSODs right before starting. So far I haven't been able to get any graphics, just DOS-type text. I really doubt that there's a problem with his video card, but eh. Anything's possible.

Anyone help!

Also, please post exhaustive specs, including brand and model of the power supply and video card.

Well, it's booted. I got it to run well, but I don't know if it fully loaded. Gotta go to work and find out.
