Ok, so I leave my AIM on like all day, but I would like to know if certain people like my girlfriend logged on or not while I was away.

I have an "alert me" window come up with she comes online and I could use that to see if people logged on, but then it goes away if they log off before I come back.

I have AIM+ and I've been thinking about this for a while. Any help appreciated.

In thanks for any possible help...

Inconvenient, but for now the only way. Suggest it on the AIM+ boards, they're open to change.

Other than keeping a message window open with that person all the time, I don't know of a way to do it.

trillian can do that.. has a separate window that logs status and stuff in a separate window that you can hide.

when you have trillian open.. unhide the side panel thing, and under tasks, it lists all your connections you have (like aim, yahoo messenger, msn, icq, etc..) click on the connection you want and it opens up the window showing when you logged on, reconnection attempts, and buddy logons/logoffs.

you can with AIM v4.4... if you dont want to use AIM 4.4, you can use these files to make it work in other versions... make sure you read the readme first tho...

I've got a few suggestions:

1. You know the start up screen where you can type in your Screen name/password? Well, AIM should keep a track of all the screen names used to log in, and you can also delete the screen name off of your computer (if you del, aim will say "are you sure you want to remove this screen name from this computer only?" or something like that). So...delete all the screen names and keep the list empty, then log on as usual. When you come back, go to "switch screen names" and it will go back to the screenname/password window and select the drop down bar from the SN list and see if any names other than yours pop up, then those will be the ppl who logged on while you were away.

2. If you have AIM+, turn on message history, then when you get back, go look thru the msg history and keep the timestamp on. AIM+ allows you to read all users msg history and if time stamp is on, you can tell what time it was done and the date as well.

Hope that helps.

You can just right click their name and do the 'Alert me when Someone signs on'. You'll just have a bunch of those windows pop-up. You won't know when they came online, but you'll know they came online.

Trillian is the way to go. Can't wait for the new version. Just wish they'd release more information and stop being so damn sensitive about it.
