How do I know which type the memory in my PC is? 1600 or 2100...

Also, is it ok to mix 1600 with 2100, or will that affect anything?

It fine to mix PC1600 with PC2100 and run at PC1600 speeds.....but it won't be fast....PC1600 is after all DDR PC100....

what board is it going in?....how much of each have you got?

To identify...check what it says on the chips and visit the manufacturers site or do a google for a memory identifier or similar and you will be able to punch that in and it will tell you what the chips on the ram stick are...someone may even come along with a link for ya.
