i have many stuff like photos ect..... i want o fix it wihout losing ym stuff. is that posible? i want to fix it while everything as is.

how to do it?

i can just reformat right now but i dont want to cause i want to keep my datas.

Uh... trying to figure out what exactly your trying to explain to us between the horrible typos and probably language barrier too...

It sounds like your getting some sort of BSOD cause by an user error and your worried about losing important data on your hard drives. The easiest solution to making a temporary backup is by backing up said data onto a usb flash drive or a few blank cd's/dvd's. A more permanent solution would probably be to use and external HDD or a home file server. If you asking how to backup the data... copy and paste it for now? Once your issue is fixed windows iirc has a built in backup program which you can schedule.

silver i cant access the hard drive. cant access desktop. can only play in live ubuntu cd and cannot access hard drive via live unbuntu. it says unable to mount.

229 it is running on xp. any way i can cure this without losing any of my stuff?

using on live unduntu cd is troublesome too cause it always crash the browser when watching videos on youtube.

Use your HDD's manufacturer diagnostic tool inside the UBCD that quiksilver link you and do a full/long scan. Sound like the force shutdown corrupted the MBR which the diagnostic tool should fix.

Download and Burn UBCD (http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/) and use the TestDisk (http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk) utility and see if it will let you access the hard drive. Also see if it can attemp to fix the hard drive too.

If it will not let you do neither than it seems to be that data is lost unless you feel like throwing a few hundred to thousand dollars to have a hard drive recovery specialist attempt to recovery that data.

the first link says something about floppy...... i wont be doing anything related to floppy right? as i dont have floppy hole in my tower.

also can you tell me what i supose to do once i burn the first link onto a cd? i pop it in..... what i do next? follow the onscreen? do it have onscrene direction?

also where is the download button for the first link? i see a big green download button but it looks more of an ad....

@ boom i reseat all the ram sticks and still the same. probly not ram.

@ deniese yeah i can boot in safe mode

http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html scroll to the bottom and pick one of the mirror.
For the HDD diagnostic: -> HDD -> Diagnosis -> pick the one from your manufacturer.
for TestDisk: -> HDD -> Data Recovery

i press f12 while powering up and it takes to black screen choosing drive to boot and theres a "hard drive diagnose" option.

so i use the hard drive diagnose option. results says:

dvd drive = not supported
dvd writer drive = not supported
hard drive = pass

so the hard drive pass. nothing wrong with the hard drive? but how can i not boot? i even try to go to safe mode but it end up blue screen.

and is the dvd drive and dvd rewrite drive normal to say not supported? who can help?
