How to install Zalman CNPS7000-Cu on Socket 754/939

I would really like to get this system together, but I don't have a manual to install this thing (got it in the mail today used), and the how to install link from zalman doesn't work. Could someone please help me or direct me to instructions...

I would really appreciate it, thanks!

It's really easy

1. Unscrew the original base

2. Screw in the rectangular plastic base with 2 nipples that have 2 washers from the set of paper washers

3. Clean the CPU and apply the thermal paste

4. Using two screws that fit into the nipples, set the HSF on the CPU and slowly tighten the screws down onto the nipples. BE SURE TO DO THIS SLOWLY AND ALTERNATE SIDES AFTER EACH TURN. This will ensure the heatsink is tightened squarely onto the CPU.

That's it! Wire up the fan however you want (by this I mean use the included potentiometer or hook it up to the motherboard to control speed)

There are lots of parts included but the S939 requires almost none of them. Most are for the P4 and Socket A.

If you need more detailed instructions than this let me know.

For a non heatpipe cooler, I was really impressed with the performance and quietness of that cooler. I hope you enjoy it!

Might try this thing called "don't post if you have nothing good to say"

He asked a legit question, got an answer, and he's done. Apparently only you have the right to post on a public message board.

Way to get a +1

I did google you moron. Do me a favor, go google and post a link here to the instruction manual.

BTW, it can be found, it took a hell of a while, but I finally did find it.

Now you, smart ass.

I know, I found where they should be, but they were not working at that time. Maybe they are working now. They were giving me some sort of page cannot be displayed page in another language.

I really wasn't that big into the Zalmans previously because of price, but I just happened to be able to pick this up for $20! It really is a good design and cools well. Mine won't be doing any blasting however, as the speed will be set pretty low to make my HTPC nice and near-silent.

Heck, it brings my temps to under -100C. Ok, that is just due to some sort of glitch with my motherboard that I am working on, but it sounds nice 😉.
