Hi,

I'm currently trying to reinstall a windows 2000 server, and I'm havin trouble doing it ... need some urgent help here ...

The computer is a P4 with asus mobo, and 2 HD barracuda 80Gb disks configured as an array. Both equal, and both SATA.

When I boot into win2k CD, it says it cannot found any devices to intall itself ...

If I press F6 (SCSI/RAID) on win2k CD-BOOT startup, it then asks for a vendors disk for the devices ...

Help ... thanks.

There should be a floppy disk that came with the board with the relevant sata raid driver on it.

If you don't have that, then you will need to make a floppy disk using the driver provided on the motherboard cd.

Alternately go to the Asus website, search for your board and download the relevant sata raid driver.

Once you get to the screen (after you pressed F6) that asks for vendors the driver disk, insert floppy, press enter and continue.

aslo on the cd in the drivers\ directory for the sata controller, there is usually a make disk file in there aswell
