How to install terminal server access to WinXP home edition?

Thanks for any help with this. I think it is possible but i don't know how. I'd basicaly like to use Remote Desktop Client (or mstsc) to access a winxp home machine.

You can't, you have to use a third party solution (pcAnywhere, VNC, etc)

Didn't one of those all-in-one 3rd party hotfix packages include it?

Crap, what was it called. I used it a few times when I reinstalled XP post sp1 and pre-sp2. It was a million times easier than going to windows update and doing them one by one....

No, XP home does not include a license to remote deskop server.

are you talking about bigfix or something similar?

I would really like to add it without purchasing a win xp pro license and upgrade disk for this machine

there is absolutely no way to have an RDP server running on an XP home box. You need XP Pro or server 2k3 to do it (and on XP, only one person can use the computer at a time, i.e. when you connect with RDP remotely, the local session on the box is disconnected, and when someone tries to log in, the remote session is disconnected).

You'd have to use VNC or something like that.
