How to install Nvidia beta drivers?

Throught the display properties you go to the adapter and press change . Change your adapter to standard PCI VGA. Then reboot. Take your beta drivers and extract them to some file. Go back to the adapter and change this time specify the location of where you put the beta drivers.

unzip them into a directory of your choice

mine is C:\drivers\1201 (for the 12.01 drivers for example)

Then go to start > settings > control panel > system

and click on the video card you have under "display drivers"

click properties, goto the drivers tab, and press "upgrade drivers"

Then, just point it at the directory with the beta drivers and your golden.

easier to extract to folder called agp

then go to display properties and select settings and advanced then go to adapter and hit change ,

path the drivers to your agp folder via browse and install

Ahhhh, cool. So there *is* an .inf file with the ZIP--must have missed it the first time around and thought I was gonna have to register the durn files myself. *gasp*

Thanks!
